Introduction

You have probably found your way to this website because you are interested in buying or hiring a 3.5 tonne horsebox, so I would like to take this opportunity to explain why I think the LoRanger by Missina is the one for you.

Why horseboxes?

My background is wholly equestrian, I spent my childhood riding show ponies at County Level, whilst also taking part in various Pony Club activities and playing Schools' Polo. One child and many years away playing polo later, I found myself back in the show ring with my pony mad daughter and in want of something a little smarter than a polo wagon. 

I found the options available somewhat disappointing, I wanted a two horse box that was stylish and reflected my personal taste but that was also durable, practical and well built from quality materials.  I turned to my husbands' family business Trucksmith.

A company with experience

Trucksmith are a long standing coach building firm with an enviable reputation. Generations of experience and careful expansion have allowed them to evolve from a bespoke jobbing coach builder to the first port of call for customers nationwide looking for unique designs, premium vehicle bodies and the building of both small and large fleets. With over twenty five years experience producing low floored,coach built bodies and being both General Motors and Renault approved converters,with the highly coveted Accord Produit awarded to their freight design, Trucksmith was the natural choice.

A radical new design

The design we came up with was somewhat radical, we wanted to stay away from the lumpy looking box on wheels formula and worked hard to come up with a fully aerodynamic body that would reduce fuel consumption. I was delighted with the result and so was everyone else, within weeks of producing the first one I was asked to build one for a friend and then another… and then another! Before I knew it friends, clients and vehicle dealers were placing orders to buy or hire and so the LoRanger from Missina was born.

The remark I never tire of hearing over and over again is that the LoRanger’s design process has been so obviously driven by an equestrienne and that the horse was of paramount importance throughout.
